Accessibility
Our commitment to making Rconnected usable by everyone — and an honest account of where we are.

1. Our commitment
We are building Rconnected to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA. Accessibility matters especially here: the families and professionals who use Rconnected include people with a wide range of needs.
2. Current status — honest
This is a commitment and a work in progress, not a completed audit. We have not yet had an independent accessibility assessment, so we cannot yet claim full conformance. [A formal WCAG 2.1 AA audit is planned.]
What we already do:
- Semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, and a skip-to-content link.
- Colour choices and type intended for readable contrast.
- Labels and roles on interactive controls.
3. Known limitations
Because we have not completed a formal audit, some content may not yet fully meet AA — for example, complex data visualisations and some PDF exports. We are tracking these and will publish progress. [Detailed conformance report to follow the audit.]
4. Tell us about a problem
If you hit an accessibility barrier, please tell us — it genuinely helps us prioritise. Email accessibility@rconnected.health [mailbox being provisioned] describing the page and the difficulty, and we will respond and aim to provide the information another way in the meantime.
